Weems Mental Health and Innovative Behavioral Services, Inc. to host National Drug Take Back Day

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) -Several Law Enforcement agencies across the nation are participating in National Drug Take Back Day, and on Saturday, April 26th, Weems Mental Health and Innovative Behavioral Services, Inc., in partnership with the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department, will be collecting unused or expired prescription drugs.

You can drop them off at the Sam’s Club parking lot, which is located at 715 Bonita Dr., Meridian, MS 39301.

It will run from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. This provides people with a safe, convenient, and responsible way to dispose of old, unneeded, or expired prescription medications, including opioids.

Last year, they were able to collect over 95 pounds of unwanted medication, and with your help, they hope to expand their impact and keep even more harmful substances out of homes and communities
