CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – The 9th annual Charlottesville-Albemarle Black Business Expo Saturday, June 14, takes place right alongside the Jefferson School’s Juneteenth celebration.

Since 2017 the event has brought together local, Black-owned businesses, featuring vendor booths, business panel discussions, a pitch contest, and live entertainment for all ages.

“It’s really about community building,” United Way of Greater Charlottesville CEO Ravi Cooper said. “If you want to meet people, support people, build relationships this is a great event and a great way to learn. They’ve got some great speakers that are going to be there on the panels.”

The expo is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center.
